Correct Yourself Correct the World

People can’t see the log in their own eye, but can see clearly the peck of dust in another’s eye. The log appears to actually be in the others eye. This is an illusion which leads to delusion and we chastise others for things we do ourselves but in a slightly different way so we don’t see the sameness. It’s a form of exceptionalism that create apathy, witch hunts, violence, strife and other forms of suffering. Instead of trying to reform others, when what you see in others bothers you in another ask yourself, “How might I be doing this similar thing in my own life?”. Don’t rush the answers… But if you are conscientious and honest with yourself you will see it. And as you correct it in yourself you will also see less of it in the world!
